[AT] Juicin it Up

Actually, the coolant used is hydraulic oil. Higher
temperatures are possible and any leaks are burned through the
engine without any concerns.
The bore and stroke sounds about right. The center webs were
completely removed and the sleeves were siamesed so they all
come out as one assembly. The heads are propane heads and
estimated compression ratio is about 12.5 to one. Racing
gasoline or 100 octane aviation fuel is required.

                    Gene

: That would work out to 5.71x5. Not too bad for a
do-it-yourself project
: ;-)
: At a very conservative .3hp/ci that combination would make
150hp. I'd
: bet
: closer to 200, if not a bit over. Are they running water in
the blocks
: or
: just in the heads?

:     Greg;
: This tractor is still running the stock crankshaft.
: Displacement is 512 cu.ins. Uses a combination of Detroit and
Cummins
: pistons an sleeves. Not sure which is which. All the work and
: engineering was done by my brother, Edsel and his son Kevin.
Sweat and
: planning replaced a lot of dollars on this setup. He very
handily beat
: thr Gingrich $20,000 engines in the Olivers.
: This tractor was the top puller in the Ohio Antique
pulling circuit
: for many years in the 6500 and 7500 pound classes.
: There is a Case "L" from Zanesville, Ohio who claims 1100
cu.ins.
: Engine develops a lot of steam, but doesn't hook up like the
Minnies do.
