[Farmall] cleaning the f-20

I would tend to start with the milder stuff and work up to the stronger
stuff only if you run into grease/oil/dirt that won't come off any other
way. Some of the stronger chemicals may discolor or attack the paint.
But if you encounter really serious baked on grease that refuses to come
off, I have successfully used oven/grill cleaner. These work better if
the surface is hot, but that isn't essential. Remember that these oven
cleaner chemicals give off unpleasant fumes, so it is better to work in
open air or at least with an open door. Gunk engine cleaner (or similar
products by other manufacturers) also work well. I also suggest that you
wear Nitrile gloves when doing any of this kind of thing, as well as eye
protection. Stiff "vegetable" or similar scrub brushes help to work the
chemicals in and are a little more gentle than steel wire brushes. I
have also used brass bristle brushes.

The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of
those who have much, it is whether we provide enough for those who have
too little. -Franklin D. Roosevelt, 32nd US President (1882-1945)
