Charlie,

The LU, RU and HU are short names for the Low Utility, Regular Utility and High Utility.  Ihave never see one up close and could get a look at the serial number plate to see if the distinction was there or not.  The LU had 17 inches of crop clearance, the RU had 20 and the HU had 24 inches.  The LU used 24 inch rears while the HU had 36 inch rears and the RU had 28 inch rears.  Height to the top of the hood was 49, 51 and 55.

I have know idea how much weight a front end loader would add.
