[AT] Ford 640 with Sherman Backhoe Question

John,

I had a Sherman on an 821 Ford that I think was built in 1957, so I imagine it was similar. It wasn't a small job, but I replaced all the bushings in the main casting. I don't remember many details and I sold the machine in 1968, but I do remember getting the bushings from the local Ford dealer (they sold the backhoes new).

Operate it with care... unlike most newer machines it can get ahold of itself and cause damage... especially to the lift cylinder.
