[Farmall] Power Take Off won't shut off on 1949 Farmall H

The PTO on our Farmall H 1949 leaks at the gasket and is nearly impossible  
to shut off.  How do we repair it and where can I find more info about  it?  
The tractor until this year sat in storage for 25 years.  We are  only beginning 
to maintain it.  It runs quite well and starts with a little  choking. - JG
