There's a lot of bad stuff that we come in contact with and now
I'm seeing articles about lawsuits against Lincoln for alleged health
affects from breathing welding fumes, I suppose from the flux coating.

When you see Lawyers advertising for people who have welded all their lives
then you can be sure that its a lawyer thing not a medical thing. There are
to many lawyers out there trying to get rich with these mega million dollar
law suits without caring one bit about who is right or wrong just how much can
they get if they win.
I have known a lot of welders in my life never new one to be sick from it.

There are a lot of good welding schools in the country you might look into
one of them, trying to learn on your own without someone showing the technics
will be very hard to do. I know that's how I learned and when my friend who
was a welding showed me what I doing wrong it made a big difference in how my
welds came out. I'm no expert by a long shot but I do pretty good for farm
equipment.
