 Ricky, much like school lunch spinach, canned equals old, overcooked yuck. 
And just like fresh spinach (best in salads, yummy) asparagus is fine 
fresh,_lightly_ blanched, and for a real taste treat topped with mom's 
cheese sauce!   Dave
