I use a cheapie HP camera and use NiMH rechargables, 2 sets of 4 batteries,
8 total. I have two different brands and two chargers, one in the truck and
one in the house. Both of the chargers totally discharge four batteries at a
time and then recharge them. The entire cycle takes about an hour. I was
told at the shop where I got the batteries and chargers that for best
results with NiMH batteries they should be totally discharged before any
recharge.
I don't use the camera a lot but I don't have a problem with the batteries
going down while in the camera with it just sitting around. Gil
