[AT] Digital camera batteries

Some Olympus cameras have been notorious for small continuous power
usage, Cecil. At one time I had eight Oly's of different models. A
couple of them it was impossible to keep batteries in.

have to change my rechargableable NiMH batteries maybe once a month.
(this varies with how much current your camera draws. Mine is pretty
stingy). I keep 2 extra sets of batteries in the camera bag all the
time. You are right about NiMH leaking down but it has never been a
problem for me.

the don't last very long. I'm not saying your approach is wrong. I'm
just saying that different things work for different folks, situations
and brands of camera.

My Olympus Stylus 400 came with a lithium ion battery and it
goes down on it's own if left over 10 days or so. It's the first battery
I ever had in a camera that did this. I wondered if it was the type
battery, or if the camera had some sort of minor amperage draw, or if
the battery was defective.

The battery in my Sony Mavica is also a lithium ion and stays
charged for months.

	Still wondering......
