Mike your camera probably recommends or requires that you use one particular 
type of rechargeable.  I use Nickel-Metal Hydride.  That is what my camera 
manufacturer say to use and I'm happy with them.  Long life, fairly quick 
recharge and affordable.

One word of caution.  I have one recharger that does not indicate when the 
batteries are fully charged.  You have to just guess at it.  Not a good 
thing.  It was a really cheap one.
