[AT] Digital camera batteries

My own personal preference leans toward Li-ion batteries, Mike. They're
probably going to be more expensive, but my experience with them is that
the time and service you get out of them between charges is
significantly better. When I'm out on a "safari", regardless of whether
it's a real one or simply a tractor show, I want battery life, period.

YMMV

Subject: [AT] Digital camera batteries

After looking at all the advise given on digital cameras a few weeks
ago,
we ended up with Canon Powershot S1 IS. It has a 10X optical zoom with
3.2 megapixels. So far I am very happy with it although I have nothing
to
compare it against. The software is very easy to use, as is the camera
itself. I now realize the need for rechargeable batteries however. What
type of rechargeable batteries are the best? I looked in the store this
morning and saw NiMH batteries from Energizer for $20, for the charger
and 4 batteries. Additional batteries were 4 for $10. Any thoughts would
be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike
