[AJD] More JD 40 Carb and other stuff

LeRoy,
The seat is 3/8 - 27 (yes, it is an odd size, NOT 1/8 - 27). I checked
several different TSX seats and they are all 3/8 - 27. That tap will not be
available at a normal hardware store. Somehow your old seat was replaced
with a 3/8 - 24 seat from somewhere - seems like some IH carbs use that seat
thread. Looking at the threads in your carb where the seat goes - do they
look as if they have been overthreaded? I checked a TSX688 which uses the
same seat as yours, and the seat in it was 3/8 - 27, as expected.

The length of the piece of the float which floats should be 1 3/4" long.
The more common TSX float has a 1 1/2" body length. The overall length of
both floats is about 2 1/2".

Duane
