 Subject: [AT] How to test a fuel gauge/Sender??


 If it were me , I would momenterly short out the wire on sender unit while
looking at the gas / fuel gauge with engine running as some instruments
doesn`t start working unless tractor motor is running . It probably has a
make switch on the oil pressure side that makes contact with 4 or more
pounds of oil pressure with motor running providing 12 volts to gauges .
It may be a good idea to make sure you are getting power TO the gauge first
.
