[AJD] 8 Volt Batteries

While we are on the subject of MC's and Voltages...

I picked up another MC the other day and compared to others
it seemed to spin around pretty good using the started.  At first
I thought that someone put in a 12V battery but it had the original
generator and it was charging.  I looked closer and it had a 8v
battery.

Was this a common thing?   Seems to work well enough that I am going
to leave it that way.
