[AT] Nice 40's or 50's truck to haul tractors

I have a 1957 3/4 ton Chevy that will haul tractors one day. The truck is
completely disassembled, the 6 cylinder engine was rebuilt and then it and
the 3 speed transmission were traded for a low mileage rebuildable 283 V8
(also a 1957) and a 4 speed SM4xx transmission (with that wonderful 7.x
ratio granny gear). The frame is sandblasted and painted and the wheels
are sandblasted and primed. Everything is stored nicely inside on shelves
and the cab is on the shop.

It has sat in the shop for 2 years waiting patiently for its number to come
up on the "What will Spencer work on next" lottery. Money is actually the
biggest thing. Trucks are more expensive than tractors and I can only
afford to put money in it once a year or two. One day I will arrive at
Portland with that truck hauling a small gooseneck - With VERY good trailer
brakes and a small tractor (-;
