[AT] Tractor Shop Question

My new neighbor put in a septic system for his  new house this year they came 
out and said that the rock was to close to the  ground so he had to put in a 
new type of system the plastic covers not pipe as  they are open at the bottom 
are laid out on top of the ground and a foot of soil  is put on top of that. 
I wonder what kind of mess this will be when we get the  rains this winter. It 
cover half of the back yard and you can do anything on top  of it or it won't 
work. sounds like a big mess just waiting to happen to  me.

My laundry has a drain that for life of me I can't tell where it goes  to I 
think it drains out over the hillside but can't find anything. 

When  you buy a 135 year old house you never know what you will find. There 
is a 6X8  31 foot long beam in the attic that I have no idea what it is for 
nothing is  nailed or bolted to the top or sides of it I think it might hold up 
the living  room ceiling but who knows.
