I don't know about Barr's leak but "Silver Seal" (I think it's now called 
"Aluma Seal") was "de rigor" for our 47 B and and 49 A when we farmed with 
them back in the 50's and early 60's. The stuff seemed to keep the radiators 
sealed up pretty well until they were too far gone and had to be taken out 
and reconditioned or recored.
