Subject: [AT] Another mystery--My Farmall H

OK, I give up! My reliable old Farmall H is getting water in the oil and I
can't figure how it is getting in. About every 6 months I can loosen the
oil drain plug and get about 1/4 cup of water out. The water I drain out
doesn't have any antifreeze in it so it must not be coming from the cooling
system. I always keep the exhaust pipe covered and can't see how it could
be running down the pipe and into the manifold. The engine oil is pretty
black ( change it regularly every 2 years! :) ) but not milky. One time
when I had the pan off I thought I detected a little water up around the
rear main bearing cap--or that vicinity. Maybe just thrown up there from
the oil. The tractor lives outside. Any ideas for me?? John
