Mike,

The pictures remind me that in the fall of 1970 while waiting to go into
the service I helped a farmer pick his corn. I think he had a Super M and
this type of corn picker. My "help" largerly consisted of getting the
wagon empty and the corn into the corn crib. He had an elevator with a
gas engine on it, and then a hoist arrangement to lift the front of the
wagon so the corn could come out the gate in the back. Not elegant but it
worked and lot easier than scooping off the entire load. Not much ear
corn was picked even then around here. The fellow was a bachelor and
anxious to get his corn picked so he could spend the rest of the winter in
Florida. Don't remember what he paid me but I was glad to have the job.

[Farmall] RE: Mike's mounted picker Was [AT] Back

Al,

Tractor is still at my boss's house, but I did snap some pictures the
other
day. Not the best ones as my good camera is broken(anybody know of a
repair
shop, its a Nikon coolpix 2100) and I had to borrow one.
