I hate to say "me too" but I also like the idea of scanning parts and
keeping the image files for gaskets. It makes a lot of sense. NOW I
know what I want to do with the "El Cheapo" HP all-in-one that came
bundled with the latest laptop computer that I bought -- it's going to
the shop! The retail price on this thing (model 1110) is about $70 and
less than a week ago I saw where someone was trying to give theirs away
on Freecycle.com.

Smitty: Hey, that is a great idea-wish I had thought of it sooner. And
to add to this when getting a new gasket, scan it and archive it so
you'll have a pattern for future reference.. Think I'll put a scanner
out in the shop. Only problem is I cannot get to the shop because of all
the rain here and the shop is on a dirt road. One guy here said he had
received 52 inches this year. May not seem like a lot to some but in
West Texas where we only received 8 inches last year and average 18
inches that is a BUNCH.
