Dean i use liquid Tide to clean oily things its  works great and cost almost 
nothing. I also use it to wash my dirty hands after  working on equipment you 
would be surprised at how good it is. Also some dish  soaps work very good.
I would fill it up with a good soapy solution and then  let it set over night 
then rinse it real good with hot water.
