Spencer , and others To Whom It May Concern:

I have been amazed at the restraint I have shown in not responding to
some of the less well-controlled people on this list with their opinions
expressed in disregard of both common decency and the guidelines of this
list. I find it difficult to believe that they are that arrogant that
they feel the rules were not meant for them. It isn't as if there have
not been recent warnings. The very least I expected to see after your
reasoned response was an apology to the rest of us who don't appreciate
their opinions or want to read them. At the very least, an apology
only to Spencer, forget the rest of us.

I don't contributre much anymore because the talk about tractors is
pretty well buried in just plain talk. That's not bad, it is like a
chat list some times. If you notice, the contributor list is really a
lot smaller than it used to be. Erosion of this list is a bad thing.
Spencer knows who has left and why. We can only guess. I'm about ready
to jump ship, too. Small loss you say because I have already said I
don't contribute much anymore. What I have been doing with a lot more
good results is e-mailing people directly when I have a query or a
comment, and skipping the list. It will be hard to attract new people
unless some of the old timers who are so proud of having been on the
list since..... get with it and play the game.

If I have mis-stated the case, I guess I don't want to hear about it.
It is, after all, just an opinion-- but not political or religious
based. Just one sadder but wiser guy who will really miss Farmer.
Maybe I can join one of his lists instead....
