[AT] O/T GM diesel question

Just thought I would chime in here since nobody has mentioned it, the
same sort of "fire ball" ignition system is/was used on the 3 cyl
Perkins diesel use in the MF 35's, or at least the FE 35's like mine.
I will wish warmer temps to anyone needing to use staring aids to get
their tractors going.

No, Walt, I was writing about the fuel ignition system that is used to 
suck burning diesel fuel into the manifold to start the engine in lieu 
of glow plugs, not spark plugs. The ignition units that I saw used on 
the Ford TLBs was similar to a glow plug, but bigger and hotter and was 
threaded into the intake manifold not too far from the connection to the

air cleaner.
