As I mentioned in an earlier note, I have arranged my finances so that I
can afford one stick for each tractor. :-) On the Cubs, the perfect spot
to store a gas measuring stick is between the transmission and the
battery box. On the Ford 860, the stick sits on top of the tank and
never moves, and on the Case 430 CK, the stick lies on the hood, right
behind the windshield of the Sims cab. I haven't figured out where to
put the stick on the Super M or the Ford 2N yet, but all of the other IH
tractors have regular fuel gauges, fortunately. With the price of
gasoline being what it now, I don't fill any of the tanks, especially
the the tractors that have weepy carburetors, so the stick mainly
suggests to me that I have enough to keep me from having to walk back
from somewhere far away if I run out. :-)
