[Farmall] Auto Darkening Welding Helmets

I bought one of the solar powered ones when they first became cheap about a year 
ago.  It's really handy, but I don't seem to be able to see quite as well with 
it while welding as I did my old one.  Of course it could be my eyes getting old 
too.  My solar one has a built in battery that is supposed to be good for 10 
years.
