[AT] Battery Life?

As Cecil stated, it seems to depend on the vehicle or machine the battery is
installed in just how long the battery lasts. The only time I take a battery
out of any of mine is if I need it to start a grain auger engine or one of
the other machines currently in storage minus a battery of their own.
Batteries seem to do fine even in our frigid Sask. winters. I'll usually put
a small charger on them at some point through their winter storage.
Some seem to be very subject to corrosion of the posts while others stay as
clean as new for the life of the battery, not sure why.
I usually complain if I don't get seven years out of a battery. My current
record is the Honda 250 ATC I bought used last year. Its a 1986 model sold
in 87 and still has the original battery.
