Years ago one of the popular science/mechanics magazines writers (Smokey
Yunick??) opined that diesel would eventually cost more than
gasoline. This prediction was based on the higher energy content in diesel
on a volume or weight basis (I don't recall which). Based on the prices
I've seen, this prediction has finally come true.
