[AT] A part for my JD 2010

	I had a very pleasant experience dealing with the local JD
dealer today and just thought being as I have not had any email from
the List today, thought I'd compliment them on the List.

	My JD 2010 diesel crawler developed a leak in the fuel system
and in checking it out, I found that the low pressure fuel line from
the dual fuel filters to the input to the injection pump was leaking
near the right front corner of the engine. As it turns the corner
around the front of the engine, it crosses a high pressure line from
the injection pump to the injector for the #1 cylinder. Someone had
used a ty-wrap and tied this line tight to the high pressure line.
I figure the vibration wore a hole thru it and caused the leak.

	I realized this is an old crawler and it might be a wait to
get parts. I called the local JD dealer's parts department this morning
and gave him the part#. He said, "I'm sorry, that part is obsolete and
is no longer available."  Then after a pause he said, "But a dealer in
Oklahoma has one and I can give you their phone# if you want it." Geez,
I did not expect this and don't know if it is a new procedure they have
or what but I really appreciated it.

	I called the dealer in OK and he had the part - cost was $5.35
or thereabouts. Shipping today by UPS.

	Maybe this is one of the advantages we now have because of the
Internet or something JD has done to help not only customers get parts
but help dealers to get rid of old stuff too. Whatever it is, I like it.
