[AT] Allis Chalmers WD or WD45?

Hey I need some help,

  I have acquired my father in-laws "WD45" so the
"decal" says. He has been gone for 13+ years now. He
always referred to this tractor as a WD not a WD45. Is
there a way of just looking at it to tell the
difference? Where is the serial number located? I know
nothing about these orange tractors but I am soon to
find out. Nice project ahead of me.
