One horsepower per acre?! I thought there was some discussion on this
forum a few years ago about the number of TRACTORS per acre. If I
remember right, there were some who claimed to have somewhere between
three and four! I'm running at just under two right now. :-)

34 acres? I have hay fields smaller than that and I wouldn't think of
taking
them on with a riding lawn tractor , mower . An old tractor with a 6
foot
rotary would even be small for that acreage I would think. Unless its a
dry
summer with grasshoppers of course.
One horsepower per acre sounds about right in this case.
