Dudley:

I think 264,000 miles on a set of plugs is terrible. They just don't make
them like they used to! :-)

Subject: RE: [AT] Spark plugs - OT

Reading the spark plug information that has gone back and forth has caused
me to want to stray a bit and ask this question -

I bought a 94 Ford Ranger with a 4.0 V6 in 95 with 20k miles on it. It had
264K miles on it when I sold it the first of this year. I never touched the
plugs and assume the original owner hadn't either so it most likely still
had the factory plugs in it. Other than winter to summer variations the
mileage/power seemed to still be as good as when I bought it.

Question: Would you consider this spark plug experience average, good,
fair, ...?

Thanks -
