I think it has something to do with 2 people willing to pay for 1 tractor each.

Unless I misunderstood the web site, this guy is a machine shop and was 
paid to do the work.

It doesn't make the accomplishment any less significant, but sometimes your 
are more motivated if someone is paying for your time and materials.
