I've known Darwin for quite a few years and have bought many
battery boxes from him for my Allis tractors. He just called me a
month or so ago. I like to stop and set down with him and his wife
when I see them at shows. He is going to be at Le Sueur, MN the end
of April and will very likely be at Portland this summer. Also, I
hope, at the Gathering of the Orange in Canandaigua this year.

If you find out he has side plates for the D-14, maybe he
also has them for the D-12. I know of a D-12 that could use one. If
he would make one but needs a pattern, suggest getting one from me
as I have both a complete D-12 and a D-14 with all panels. I would
gladly loan them to him to make his patterns.

The nicest thing about telling the truth is you never have to wonder
what you said.
