Geez, that gives me an idea, David. I'll bet it
would be real easy to modify an air nailer by welding a
fine point on the striker that would make those small
holes for starting a screw. It would make them as fast
as you can pull the trigger and would make the holes
without denting the steel. Like you said, it doesn't take
much of a hole to start those screws with the small sharp
points they have.
