I even have one dealer that calls me when he has what we both refer to as junk.  I have bought several good older tractors that the dealer didn't want to fool with, but were in good working order(just old or needs paint) and I resold making a couple of bucks to support my hobby/addiction.  This especially good when the dealer needs cash flow. 


	I agree with you, Doug, if you know a dealer and trust him.
I bought 3 very good used cars back in the 1960s and 1970s thru a
dealer who was a friend of mine. When he called me to come look at
a car he just took in on trade for a new one, I went right down and
bought without quibbling. I imagine if you knew the right equipment
dealer, you might make out just fine. This is a case where it is
not only important to know your prices but where it would pay to
have the money to buy when the time comes.
