[Farmall] Tool identification help

As I get older and my eyesight gets weaker, I find myself staring at
sockets and wrenches in my tool chest trying to find sizes, especially for
metrics which I'm still not used to and have to look for size markings.

Does anyone have a good system for color markings or some other easy
identification for socket sizes and wrenches? My nut runners have color
coded handles, I've cut slots and crosses in my screwdriver handles which I
keep standing up in a can, but I don't have anything for my sockets,
wrenches, etc. Maybe 2 color bands, one for drive size and one for socket
size? Does electrical tape work? Paint? Dye?

I haven't been able to find much on the web that might help out, so I'm
relying on the common wisdom on this list to help me out.

Thanks,
