[AT] Big Spring

Whew, where do I start? This spring has been a busy one for me and just
wanted to update you folks on what all has been happening. The first, and
most important, is last month I sold my 1/2 interest in the software
company I ran. This has several ramifications for ATIS but hopefully they
will be seamless

1 - My old Piedmont Systems address NO longer
works(Spencer.Yost at piedmontsystems.com).
2 - ATIS will be moving to a new server and a new ISP at the end of this
month
3 - I have time to complete a few "mystery projects" for ATIS (No, I'll
never tell what they are)
4 - Delayed disbursal of Charity auction funds because Jessica was helping
and now she is no longer my employee.

Currently I am working on several small consulting projects , but staying
busy on other personal projects as well. I am deliberately not choosing
my next career step since the sale of the company is affording me a few
months to let things happen and evolve instead of forcing something to
happen. However, I have been as busy as ever. I have spent about 2 of
the last 5 weeks out of town for various reasons. Three of the things I
have done since the sale might interest everyone.:

1 Brought in the first cutting of hay. In was not full but very early.
Mid May is when I brought it in. These once a day showers since then have
really made the fields happy so I can bring in the second cutting anytime -
as soon as it quits raining once a day(-;
2 Book number 4 is in the works. This will be a book on small scale
haymaking. Even though Denise swore she would divorce me if I wrote
another, she acquiesced since that would happen during the day now that I
am gainfully unemployed.

3: Removed the engine from one of my 2 trucks (I have a 1998 Trooper I tow
with and a 1986 Isuzu Trooper turbo diesel for mileage around town). I
broke a connecting rod in the Turbo diesel. No damage to crank or block
thank God because only one side of the rod let go and it happened when the
truck was starting - not at high speed. Check out the photos at

A used replacement set of rods is on its way. I only found the right ones
in Australia. They are available NOWHERE in the states. There were a
couple of versions of the rods Isuzu struggled with since they had a
problem with them breaking. The early versions are available but the
correct beefier rod was only available down under and even then I only
found one set.

Whew! I need to go back to work so I can slow down!

I'll stay in touch and try to keep everyone updated,

Spencer
