As to
that third grade teacher, what certification(s) does she hold? What
kind of degree does she have? What sort of supplement does her school
system pay in addition to the standard salary? How many years of
service does she have? My point is, don't put down anybody in education
based upon what grade/level/subject they teach. Every link in the chain
is important.

Al that's the problem we worry more about the education of the teacher than
what they teach. If you ran a business like you would go broke fast, come to
think of it they are going broke in the schools.

I was teaching gold panning at a mine in Jacksonville, Or a few years ago
and we 40 teachers come for tour. If you flip the gold pan just right you can
make the little gold flakes float. You know only one of these teachers new
the reason why. I knew that since I was in grammer school.
To top it off the cheap "B" gave me $1.00 in tips.
