how long did you work for this second class city Frank? I work for a second
class state and see that the time I put in to SS ( some 25 years) is
effected by the state retirement. I was kinda thinking on quiting the state
and going back into paying SS for a few more years. The state cut back on
percentage of retirement when I got hired, the folks prior to me got 90%
after so many years and me I can only get 50%. I see that the SS off set
reduction is similar so those before us make out better?? .

I was at a benifits meeting recently and it slayed me to hear that a married
couple of teachers under the old benifits were knocking down 75K a year
thats to cost of living increases , and if they died together there 18 year
old some as the survior would get the 75k a year for the rest of his life
from the state and they are waiting to get there SS benifits on top of that.
Dang who needs SS when these second class states and govenment jobs set you
UP so good.

It's kinda funny that most state city county and fed employees usally have
time to find second jobs while working for the gove. When I was in the REAL
working force I was to damn tired to go out and find two jobs.

Some one has to stop this waste of tax payer dollars.
