Hi Carl & All
I did mine just like you said your instructions said, because that is the
same instructions that came with mine.
I have a friend that builds barns and sheds for a living.  That is the way
he does it, unless the customer wants it screwed on the ridge.  Then he says
OK, but I am not responsible for leaks unless it is from a screw missing a
perline.
Its a good idea to pop a chalk line where the screws go .  It is surprising
how many times you will miss if you don't.
