[AT] O/T 17 year locusts

They've been around Baltimore/Washington for the last month. Thousands of
'em, & you can hear them from inside your car traveling down the highway
with the windows up & the radio on. They make 2 kinds of noise, the familiar
hissing sound & also a kind of high pitched whistle, like in the old
Japanese monster movies with the overgrown bugs. But now with the cooler
weather we've been having, they've pretty much died off. Haven't had a one
up here in Westminster though. I work in the fire department in Baltimore
County, & we've had 2 car wrecks blamed on the cicadas flying in & startling
the drivers.
