Rob,
Does the meter show a discharge if you turn the lights on when the tractor is not running? If not, either your ammeter is bad or the load is connected to the wrong terminal of the meter.

Subject: [AT] WD45 charging problems
Hey guys I had a question for you. On our recently restored
WD45 we are having charging problems. It has been totally
stripped and rebuilt and repainted, rebuilt generator and
new cutout and new wiring harness. The headlights work great
but the amp meter doesn't show a charge. What could be
causing this? Any suggestions would be great. Oh BTW, we
did polorize it and Gene Dotson did it too at Plain City.
Hope someone has some ideas.
Thanks,
Rob
