Hydros are nearly indestructible.
Cast Iron Briggs or Kohlers are worth rebuilding. I did a 16 HP briggs
about a year and a half ago for about 250 in parts including the governor,
piston and connecting rod. Regrind of the crank and bore the block were $35
each
