I would guess those owners had the same problem as some lawnmower
customers I've had who could not understand why their mowers didn't cut
well after they had sharpened the blades. Sure enough, they were
mounted upside down.

The big D-7 F and Es that I worked on for the army all had pusher
fans.
Seems funny to stand in from and get a blast of air from them.
Recently I have bought two old tractors a Case LA and M-H 44 both had
the
fans turned backwards, I wonder if the PO thought it would reverve the
air
flow. Giggle.
