We were considering substituting RimGuard for the calcium chloride at
the tractor dealership where I used to work, but my boss was very
resistant to change. Plus he made a handsome profit installing calcium
(and on replacing rims later when they rotted out).
The only negative thing I have heard about RimGuard is that it is
considerably more expensive than calcium. I believe it is made from
molasses and water.
