Single front wheels were used primarily in areas of the country where
vegetables were grown on narrow rows. See them quite a bit in California.
Easiest turning of all types of front ends.

Very interesting. I would have thought that they would be fairly rare only 
because I wouldn't want that much weight on just 1 wheel/tire. Thanks, Tom
