[Steam-engine] Smoke Jack Design

I'm one of the volunteers on the crew of the 110 hp Daniel Best steam
traction engine owned by the Oakland Museum and headquartered at
Ardenwood Historic Farm in Fremont, California.  We are embarking on a
project to build a new barn/interpretive center to house the Best, and
we want to include a Smoke Jack in the roof so that we can steam up in
place and exit the barn under our own power.  Does anyone have any
suggestions on where to find design and construction details,
specifications, etc for smoke jacks?  This info seems to have
disappeared form modern architectural handbooks :-) :-( !!
