Hi Matthew.
>From my experience with putting sand tires on dune buggies, cut some
pieces of wood to place inside the new tires to spread the beads as wide
as you can.  Place the tires in the sun for a few days  to get good and
hot, they will take a set.  Then mount them quickly and try to inflate,
usually the beads will stay out and seat.
