I have a friction clutch on my Bush-Hog I took  it all apart out in new 
springs from an old clutch disk and used some water  proof grease on it. It works 
great when i hit something hard like a big Scotts  broom it just start to slip 
and i back off of the PTO until it catches again and  move. Saves a lot of 
problems on other parts of the tractor.
