[AT] Bad tractor day

Geez, I didn't touch the wires but reversed them to make sure,
nothing happened. Closest thing that happen to starting was a
kind of cough after the starter whined with the wires in original
position. However, I had a VAC sitting out back and it would not start
after winter and it ended up to be timing. An ol' gent that had a Case
dealership
near me helped me with that. I never touched it so I don't know how it got
screwed up.

Now doesn't fuel flow depend a lot on pressure from the fuel in the tank?
Could it be that there isn't enough there to push fuel though. I opened the
value at the bowl with the carb off and fuel flowed OK. The bowl is half
full every
time I take it off. Never fill the tanks very full.

If I had an extra hand I could move the distributor a bit either way while
it was
turning over to see if it would catch. Maybe there is a way to try that
from
me pushing the strater lever by the starter.

I wanted to pull the plugs and let them sit on the tractor to see if I get a
spark there.
Still want to try the other plug wires off the 40S.

You know 3 weeks ago this thing started right up with a fresh battery and a
little sand
paper. Even ran it 2 days in a row. Can't figure it.
